For those who like shopping whilst on holiday, Port  Charlotte is approximately 15 miles south and Venice the same  distance north, both have a wide variety of shopping facilities. For  others, Boca Grande, which is renowned for its world-class tarpon  fishing is in close proximity as is Sarasota's arts & entertainment.
